Addressing COVID-19

As everyone is aware, COVID19 is a disease that evolves from the novel virus SARScov 2. Due to the global pandemic of the early mortality that can occur from COVID19, personal training has become a field that is not only affected by physical distancing but also can provide a potentially life-changing and life-saving benefit to individuals seeking to gain a healthier lifestyle.

Exercise Immunology is a field that examines the response the body has from exercising and exposure to infections such as influenza and other viruses as well as cancer. It has been shown that consistent moderate exercise can reduce symptoms if infected by a virus as well as the risk to infect others. The benefits

to exercise are countless, and now Healthy Results is closely following the evolving research in exercise immunology and how the impact of exercise in addition to other healthy habits may have a large benefit on fighting exposure to the novel virus SARSCOV 2.

Healthy Results’ clients have been using the virtual platform that is most comfortable for each person (google hang out, facetime, google duo, zoom, etc). Health Coaching has continued to be a virtual platform as it always has been, mainly using phone calls to host sessions, and video calling on request.

Healthy Results is offering in-person personal training to those who are comfortable with in-person activities.

The physical distance guidelines continue to be:

  • keeping 6 feet apart as best as possible

Healthy Results precautions for one on one personal training sessions are:

  • all sanitized equipment is used by the client(s) and not handled by the trainer until the personal training session is complete

  • all cueing is done verbally, and no longer use of tactile cueing
